In december 2010 I had the pleasure of exhibiting at the Microgaleria Sur on Gran Canaria. The project was initiated by Tore Honoré Bøe as a part of the cultural network Origami Republika. The exhibition was a wonderful experience which inspired me to establish the Mikrogalleri Nor here on Søndre Sandøy. It is easy to imagine how this project could develop into a world-wide network of microgalleries where artists can exhibit in each other’s galleries without financial barrier, since the physical sizes of the artworks is limited, and they can be easuily sent through the post or by courier.

The opening exhibition at Mikrogalleri Nor is a group show. Later, we will present solo exhibitions, themed exhibitions and other projects. This is not a commercial project.

The micro gallery Mikrogalleri Nor is, naturally, quite small. With a floor surface of 150 cm. x 60 cm, the facilities comprise to floors, and currently has four rooms. It is located in the centre of the Beautiful island of Søndre Sandøy, and is accessible for viewing from the road.
Mikrogalleri Nor post further updates here on these web pages: https://mikrogallerinor.wordpress.com
